BIOGECO ( BIOdiversité, GEnes & COmmunautés) est une Unité Mixte de Recherche (UMR) de l’INRA et de l’université de Bordeaux. L’unité comprend des spécialistes de l’écologie, de la génétique des populations, quantitative et évolutive. Les activités de recherche menées par BIOGECO visent à élucider les mécanismes qui façonnent la diversité biologique dans les écosystèmes terrestres à différents niveaux hiérarchiques : communautés, espèces, populations, gènes. Les interactions entre les espèces, les populations et les individus sont donc considérés comme les principaux moteurs de la diversité.

BIOGECO ( BIOdiversity, GEnes & COmmunities) is a Joint Research Unit (UMR) of INRA and the University of Bordeaux. The unit includes specialists in ecology, population genetics, quantitative and evolutionary. The research activities conducted by BIOGECO to elucidate the mechanisms that shape biological diversity in terrestrial ecosystems at different hierarchical levels: communities, species, populations, genes. Interactions between species, populations and individuals are taken into account as the main drivers of diversity.
